Introduction to Our Child Care Programs

At Panda Daycare, we design our programs around the natural rhythms of early childhood. Our Seattle daycare serves children from six weeks to three and a half years, offering age-appropriate learning experiences that balance care, exploration, and fun.

Each program—Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Readiness—is thoughtfully developed to meet the developmental needs of young children. From sensory play and social interaction to early literacy and art, every activity supports growth in emotional, physical, and cognitive domains.

Our teachers observe each child’s interests and pace, adapting experiences so that every child feels challenged, capable, and secure. Families trust Panda Daycare for its warm atmosphere, small group sizes, and a curriculum that emphasizes both comfort and curiosity.

Why a Structured Early Learning Program Matters

Quality child care lays the foundation for lifelong learning. The early years are when children form language patterns, motor coordination, emotional resilience, and the confidence to explore. Panda Daycare’s structured yet flexible programs help children:

Our Programs Overview

Infant Program (Ages 6 Weeks–12 Months)

Our Infant Program provides gentle, responsive care for babies in a calm, nurturing setting. Teachers follow each infant’s unique feeding and sleeping schedule, ensuring continuity between home and daycare. Activities include tummy time, sensory play with safe materials, soothing music, and opportunities for visual and tactile exploration.

Infants are introduced to early language through conversation, singing, and storytime. We use a soft, caring tone and positive touch to build secure attachment and trust. Every caregiver communicates daily with families about naps, meals, diapering, and developmental milestones.

Highlights of the Infant Program:

  • One-on-one attention and bonding time
  • Sensory and motor play to strengthen muscles and coordination
  • Gentle music, soft lighting, and predictable routines
  • Daily communication with parents about progress and needs

Toddler Program (Ages 1–2 Years)

Toddlers are full of energy and curiosity. Our Toddler Program channels that enthusiasm into play-based learning that builds independence, cooperation, and confidence. Teachers support emerging language and self-help skills while guiding children through simple routines that give structure to their day.

We use art, music, and storytelling to encourage imagination and expression. Outdoor time in the fenced yard provides opportunities for gross-motor development and exploration. Toddlers participate in early counting, color recognition, and sorting activities that introduce early cognitive concepts.

Highlights of the Toddler Program:

  • Hands-on sensory experiences (water play, sand, blocks, clay)
  • Early language development through songs, repetition, and books
  • Gentle support for potty training readiness
  • Encouragement of sharing, empathy, and cooperative play
  • Neighborhood walks for exploration and discovery

Preschool Readiness Program (Ages 2–3½ Years)

Our Preschool Readiness Program prepares children for the transition to larger preschool environments by focusing on early literacy, self-regulation, and social skills. Lessons and routines encourage curiosity and confidence while fostering problem-solving and creativity.

Activities include storytelling, dramatic play, arts and crafts, nature-based projects, and early science experiments. Children practice following simple instructions, participating in group discussions, and expressing themselves through art and movement.

Highlights of the Preschool Readiness Program:

  • Early literacy activities: alphabet awareness, rhymes, and storytelling
  • Arts and crafts using a variety of materials
  • Nature and gardening experiences that teach care and observation
  • Outdoor exploration and physical activity in a secure yard
  • Building friendships and teamwork through cooperative games

Learning Through Play and Exploration

Our program philosophy centers on learning through play. Children are natural explorers; they discover concepts of cause and effect, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on experiences. Panda Daycare incorporates:

Partnering with Families

We value collaboration with families as an essential part of each child’s development. Parents receive updates through our daily information board, summarizing meals, naps, and highlights from the day. Teachers communicate openly about progress, upcoming milestones, and ways to extend learning at home.

Families are invited to schedule visits, discuss individual goals, and share insights about their child’s needs. This partnership builds consistency and trust—key ingredients for happy, thriving children.
